Export-oriented production companies introduce this practice as a response to the increasingly rigorous requirements of customers in the EU. Primarily, it refers to the E segment, i.e. waste reduction, type the materials they use, energy use and reduction of the CO2 footprint. An important segment is also security and protection at work and gender inclusion and equality within companies. In short, everything we are talking about today that makes a desirable employer and a successful entrepreneur comes to us as regulations that will be impossible to avoid. To begin with, it is important to decipher a few keywords.
E – Environment - How does the company manage its environmental impact and whether and how it motivates its employees stakeholders on the same. S - Social - The social impact of the company, its attitude towards employees, working conditions, and safety at the workplace and the local community. G - Governance - management segment related to the reporting process, organization and structure Administration, opportunities for independent decision-making, equality and equality in the highest structures management. Companies that adopt ESG standards early will be in a better position to thrive and avoid scenarios in which will quickly introduce an ESG framework when new ESG regulations come into force or when investors start regularly request their ESG plans and reports. Domestic banks, which are members of international banking groups, are pressured by their own owners, that they must work on increasing the credit portfolio of companies that have integrated the ESG concept in your business. The European Central Bank requires banks to report on their carbon footprint of its clients as well as other aspects of sustainable business. In practice, this means that domestic companies will be pressured by their EU customers and banks start doing business differently (to do business sustainably) and learn to report on it, because otherwise, they will lose market and access to capital. Exporters will get better deals with their customers if they adopt ESG and are ultimately prepared to report about it by creating a report on sustainability (sustainable reporting). Financial institutions will do better products for ESG-focused companies. Therefore, the cost of capital will be lower for such companies.
